David Colman is Principal and Co-CEO of ROCO Real Estate. Since ROCO’s inception in 2012, under his leadership, the firm has grown into the 50th largest multifamily real estate owner in the country. Mr. Colman was named “Twenty in their 20’s” by Crain’s Detroit Business.
Prior to ROCO, David worked for BlackRock in their Proprietary Alpha Strategies Group, later transitioning to a fixed income Product Strategist.
He serves as a member of the Regional Advisory Board at Bank of Ann Arbor. In addition, Mr. Colman has chaired fundraisers for Horizons Upward Bound, Detroit Institute of Arts, Child Safe Michigan, Empowerment Plan, Humble Design, Detroit Achievement Academy, Ruth Ellis Center, and Cranbrook Art Museum.
David earned a BBA from the University of Michigan – Ross School of Business in 2010 and graduated from Cranbrook Schools in 2006.
David lives in Birmingham, MI with his wife, Christine Tobias Colman and one-year-old son, Robert Colman and they will be welcoming a baby daughter in October 2019.
